Reflection on E-Waste

When I first read on E-waste, I was shocked and I also felt guilty because I had no idea that all of this was going on in another part of the world. It was a reality check because many people only think about their own lives and don’t really give second thought about the rest of the people in the world who are in conditions that we never would think of. Many of that unwanted technology scraps are made from toxics like zinc which people are exposed to every day. E-waste has ruined many peoples’ lives, and not only the people but the land that they were born in. I think there should be more action in solving this issue to better people’s lives. Some organizations are trying to do better. In 1995, Protestants led to an amendment known as Bowel Ban which forbids hazardous waste shipments to poor countries. People like these can help make a difference.
